From "Lyme doesn't exist here" to a whole family healed.
I'm not a doctor. I'm something the clinical world can't replicate — a Lyme patient, a Lyme mother, and a Lyme wife who lived chronic Lyme from the inside, and came out the other side.
"Lyme doesn't exist in California."
I was bitten in the San Francisco Bay Area and told Lyme wasn't possible here. That single sentence cost me a decade.
Specialist after specialist, no answers.
From neurologists to podiatrists and everything in between. As the disease progressed, I had to close my thriving business and leave my career in mental health to care for myself full-time.
Finally — a real diagnosis.
After moving to Colorado, finding the right physician, and getting the proper labs, I had my answer: CDC-positive Lyme. Then my daughter, my son, and my husband all tested positive, too.
The treatment that changed everything.
My husband, James, found whole-body hyperthermia. In 2017 our whole family traveled to Germany for treatment — me, James, and our teenage daughter, Isabella. To say it saved our lives would be an understatement.
Hundreds of families, guided home.
I joined Michelle McKeon at The Lyme Specialist in 2018, and since then I've helped hundreds of people access the treatment that gave my own family their lives back.
This is real life — and I live it too.
Lyme isn't always a one-and-done story. Our hyperthermia in Germany cleared the infection completely — but clearing it isn't the same as being immune to it. When Isabella was bitten again, she was reinfected, and she's going through treatment right now. It's a big reason I care so much about newer approaches that don't just clear Lyme, but teach the immune system to recognize it. I don't speak about this from the sidelines — I'm walking it alongside you, in real time.
